Sarah and Matt had an amazing wedding. I had never been down to Larkspur before – and let me tell you, it is gorgeous and completely captivating. The ranch where everything took place had a beautiful mountainside where their ceremony took place; everywhere you turned was beautiful Colorado scenic views. I loved every minute I spent with these two. Their love for each other, along with your friends and family is inspirational and contagious. Everything about this wedding I enjoyed and was so grateful to be apart. Sarah and Matt – you rock! Love to you both.

p.s. Sarah’s Dress is one of my all time favorites. It’s perfectly gorgeous.

lindsay + tony | wedding

Lindsay and Tony live in Chicago and was having a destination wedding here in Lyons! When they contacted me, everything Lindsay described for their wedding sounded beautiful – I was very excited to be shooting it. A little bit before Christmas, Lindsay’s mother past away quite unexpectedly. I could not imagine the feelings of losing a parent, let alone also loosing a mother just before your wedding – my heart wrenched for Lindsay and her family. During the wedding day, they had so many moments that I started caring around a slue of tissues for myself. On the back of Lindsay’s dress, she attached a broach that had her mother’s picture in it – it was beautiful. Lindsay said it was because her mother “always has my back”.

The details Lindsay and Tony put together for their ceremony and reception was unbelievable. Every little touch created so much character and atmosphere I want to duplicate it for every wedding. I was a trill to be apart of. Here are a few pictures from their day!

Diane did an AMAZING job planning every single detail of this wedding – it was gorgeous and so much fun to photograph. Between the company of family and friends to this perfect location on the lake – my camera was very happy clickin’ away. Diane and Kole – you both are so amazing. Your Ceremony was so moving. Debbie and Nathan are one of the sweetest couples I have had the pleasure of photographing, and their story is just as sweet. When I arrived to the wedding site it was raining. Debbie was trying to keep herself clam while everyone was either getting ready or setting up for their outdoor ceremony. It had to of been about 40 minutes before the ceremony that the rain let up, so we dashed out and started photographing the separate bridal parties. It was by no surprise that as we finished, the rain started again. We hoped and prayed it was going to stop for the ceremony – and once again, the rain let up just in time. The ceremony started and just a few minutes before the kiss, it started to sprinkle. Even in the rain – it was beautiful, and of course created a bit extra romantic flair. We photographed the full bridal party, him+her, and their families in the rain. It was beautiful and breath taking.

The Cut Off Date

This year has flown by so quickly, I can hardly believe it. Don’t let Christmas catch you by surprise! The cut off date to get orders in for Christmas Cards is December 1st – the last call is December 7th (includes an extra charge). But at the end of the day, you just want to have a fun family portrait session and don’t care too much about getting Christmas Cards out, we can have an awesome time making photos all the way up till December 18th – that will be the last day of “it’s that time of year!” SALE.

Evan stood up at our wedding and has been a very close friend to Brian and I for many years. When we had news he was dating a Russian he met while doing a study abroad program we were ecstatic. And as we were apart of their American Wedding Celebration, Russian Style, we couldn’t have been happier. Evan – you found a girl who is so rare and so out of this world amazing – we couldn’t express our excitement and love for you more. Irina – welcome; we’re so glad your finally here. Lisa and Ryan added so many personal touches to their wedding.
